Hosting this styled wedding was an exhilarating experience that allowed us to blend modern aesthetics with rich cultural traditions. We specifically chose Modern Chinese as the theme as a tribute to our own team's racial backgrounds (most of us are from Asian decent). In being integrated into the Asian wedding community, we often see aesthetics sacrified for tradition. We included a tea ceremony and the vibrant energy of a lion dance in appreciation of Chinese culture. Each decision we made for the shoot was a testament to the beauty of merging timeless rituals with current design sensibilities, offering a fresh perspective on how cultural heritage can be celebrated in a modern context.

The shoot was not just about creating visually stunning images, but also about inspiring couples to embrace their cultural roots while adapting to today's trends. By working closely with our talented vendors, we were able to highlight how traditional practices, like the tea ceremony, can be reimagined with a modern twist, and how the dynamic lion dance can add a unique flair to contemporary wedding settings. It was a reminder of how honoring one's heritage can coexist with, and even enhance, modern aesthetics.
